I unbolted the exhaust. Wasnt bad at all, although of course this is a CA truck. I hit it with PBlaster a couple days before I did the work and my impact took the bolts off np. Did have to get another impact extension.

Did you have to use a swivel socket too? I couldn't get a straight shot without jacking the trans up.

Prying exhaust did well for me the first time around. used the jack top pipe and a jack to put pressure on the back. Kept testing it so I put it down just enough to get job done.

I did use a swivel on a couple of them iirc

That plus some nice long impact extensions make a big difference.
Did you get to them from underneath or through the wheel well? I've heard people saying need to go in from the side/wheel well to get to the exhaust flange nuts

I got them from underneath on my nbs escalade. Not sure how different it may be on other vehicles. The y pipe is slifhtly different on the caddy than other trucks of this era that I have seen iirc.
