its a wrecking yard nobody gives a crap so i just bring a long thing blade and cut it off the truck. you could probably use a similar technique used to cut free a windshield. anyway its pretty strong adhesive so it takes a couple passes to cut an edge free.
Oh yeah, don’t need to worry about the paint!

roof rack end caps are what usually comes off in car washes, I've read that fishing line will take the trim pieces and badges off without trouble

i just dont use drive through car washes anymore. even told my wife if i find out she used another one she would be using a taxi service and losing her driving privileges. shes too oblivious when it comes to the vehicles. she came home and the vehicle was obviously washed but the passenger side mirror was smacked outward. i mean how the f*** does a driver not notice that and so ya we have been in a couple of arguements just over the vehicles.

She is going to be telling you that if you want vehicles washed, "DO it yourself". That is coming. LOL!
she does great in the house but her vehicle cleaning is terrible. id prefer it that way anyway so im good with that. so for the most part we came to an understanding. i help out like a proper household member but follow her directions on house cleaning. all i ask of her from the vehicles is to keep the trash out so i don't have extra work.

Yea, I absolutely hate it when I see so much trash that it looks like the floor mats because you can't see the floor mats. I ran shops and would tell a customer that we would not be doing a heater core, tech on his back under the dash, till they cleaned out the trash and cleared the floor. The same excuse was, "Well we have kids". ********! Don't care. Clean it up.

If his was like mine it started to peel away a little at a time and the car wash finished it off. Mine did the same thing. Serves me right for being lazy. The car wash people didn’t know or care that it fell off.
