Anyone out there know where I can get skid plates? Like real skid plates you can actually use that cover most of the underbody. I can’t, for the life of me, find anything other than a front skid, which I’ve already made myself with my bumper.

Let me know.

A Hollywood stunt car shop. Ask the Avalanche guys. The factory ones are good enough for me.

Oh cool that’ll be good info. So the avalanche comes stock with more underbody protection?

They come with a metal front differential skid plate and another one for the transfer case. Not aware of complete coverage like over fuel tank and or drive shafts and exhaust.

You can use the oem metal ones from any of the same generation vehicles i.e. 00-06, 07-14, 15-19 etc..
if you want something custom like some of the boarder patrol vehicles use then you either have to have them made or I think there is a place in so cal. called baja specialties or something like that, not cheap they did them for the border patrol vehicles government contract so you know how that goes $900 hammer's!

Quick question I just thought of. Are the frames between the NBS Tahoe’s and the NNBS Tahoe’s roughly the same? I’ve got a buddy that works boarder patrol and I know they use the NNBS Tahoe’s. So if they are similar, I wonder if I got my hands on some of those skids they would work for my 04.

they are different, at least a little bit, the factory ones will not cross-over because of the way they are formed, you would have to get under one and look and take some measurements. if you are lucky you could maybe get away with just drilling new mounting holes.
