I have a few questions for you.

1) What are the vitals of your vehicle: Make, Model, Year, Mileage, Motor Size (some folks here find it really helpful if this is part of your signature)
2) How old is your battery?

If it is turning over, you are getting power to the starter. Were you able to jump it and get it started?
I would also check to make sure you are getting fuel to your engine. See if you can get pressure gauge on your fuel rail and see what that is reading.

2001 GMC Yukon XL 5.3 probably has about 298k miles

Battery is about a yr old

Haven’t tried to jump it

And I will have to check fuel pressure

Why the bcm swap to start with? Any other electrical problems? What do the dome lights do/not do? Goes without saying to check your ground cables. It still amazes me how many problems they cause.

At first when I got the car I thought the BCM was the reason for the dome lights not working at the time they wouldn’t turn on

Now they wont turn off I have to take the fuse out

I dont have any other electrical problems but there are 2 wires that I dont know what they are for

Might be able to reset your ECM by disconnecting the battery. After both cables are disconnected for +2mins touch the cables together to drain any residual electrical from the system. Give it a few minutes and reconnect and the vehicle shoudl start right up. On the dome lights if I had a questionable switch (door switch/light control switch etc) I would probably swing by my local pull a part and ****** up a few parts on the cheap and trade them out to see what I could figure out.

Still didnt start

But I think the light switch is the problem with the domes cause the override button doesn’t work with just one push I have to push it a good few times for it to work
