rhodium hit $12,700 oz


it went from 300$ to 13k in a couple of months


1 gram is worth 400$ or so

if i sell mine right now i can break even

what is the part number you have a single one is worth 150 to 360$

pair will fetch 300-700$ or so

Some guy on Facebook said he'd give me $150 for both of mine. I sad, "pass.." but I have no idea who to sell them to. My PYP place doesn't want them. I don't know what model mine is but they're original to my 2005. I can't seem to find a number on them. I'll look again tomorrow.

Another question for the experts. I think there is something wrong with the catalytic converter I installed or the exhaust system. After getting it buttoned up this weekend I've been driving it and I've been noticing that after driving it I'm kind of dizzy. I thought that maybe I was getting sick with the flu or something. But after a while, I go back to I feeling fine. This morning I was completely fine until I got to work and again...dizzy. (I am rolling the windows down when I start to feel it)

Suspecting I have a leak somewhere I crawled up under it last night and I don't hear any noises or feel any exhaust leaks at the joints. No smoke coming out of the exhaust manifold, muffler or O2 sensors. I ordered a carbon monoxide detector yesterday and when it comes in today I'm going to run the car with it inside (with me NOT in it) and see if it's that. Anything else I should look for or look at? I've never had a problem like this and this didn't start happening until after I just replaced those converters.

You can get a friend to help you that is mechanically inclined. Get him/her to have about 5-6 shop towels or even home towels in their hand and while you are under the rig have them, with the engine at idle, hold the towels over the end of the tailpipe for a few seconds at a time. The pressure will build and they will have to pull the towels back every few seconds. The immense back pressure will force the leak out under a higher pressure and you can feel for where that will be with your hands. Check the obvious new attaching points. Both of the attaching points at the front of the cat converter y-pipe, the rear attachment of the same pipe and the bracket area of where you just fixed or patched that broken manifold stud. You can check that place from top and bottom. During those few seconds you should feel the exhaust pressure with your skin. Don't touch the hot spots of course but just get close and feel for the pressure. It may also be in a spot that was there before but unnoticed.

Well, I'm happy to report it's not carbon monoxide. My detector came and I left in the running car for about 10 minutes and it came back with 0 PPM. I really don't think I have a leak but I'm going to test it as you suggested above anyway. I was under it last night it all looked great. Let's just hope I'm getting the flu.
