I got the Admin Package with the OEM Steering Wheel only having controls for 'Cruise Control'. I would like to get an LTZ Steering Wheel so I can control the stereo and phone -- I upgraded to the large screen. Anyone have any advice or experience? Perhaps anyone looking to unload their steering wheel?

Thanks!

I swapped mine out for a leather one with cruise/radio controls, where I didn't have the radio stuff before. Its all plug and play, just replace it and with the upgraded model and you are good to go.

A steering wheel from a 16-18 LS, LT or LTZ/Premier should work.

Haha! Still haven't done it yet -- but wondering, I'm hearing there's an additional wire that needs to be added to get the steering wheel to work with the io6 Stereo -- have you heard of this?

Hi,
I too have a 2015 Tahoe PPV and wish to replace the steering wheel.
If I also replace the clock spring with the steering wheel would I still need to add a wire that’s missing?

I’m getting a wheel too. I was hoping to control the stereo with it, but if it indeed requires a gauge cluster replacement, forget it! I’ll be happy just getting rid of the cheap plastic wheel and getting a nice leather one

New wiring and gauge cluster required. Unless you just want the leather wheel for comfort and looks, I’d avoid this mod. About $200 for the gauge cluster, $200 to get it programmed correctly, then the extra wiring required. For that, you lose the calibrated speedo also. It a convenience to be sure, but for close to $500, I can reach over and manually adjust the volume.

who told you that you needed to change the cluster? you should only need the steering wheel and clockspring and if it is a heated steering wheel then you would need to connect 1 extra wire for the heat to function.
I could see the possibility of having the cluster needing a new calibration but shouldn't have to be replaced.
