What's next for it?

a 3k stall converter in the next couple weeks, then start saving again for a pro charger. i had a ECS big blower cam installed, what they call it. at east coast supercharging. i have the specs. so that got rid of the dod bs, next big $ step is the boost. it dyno'ed at 443, so figure 600 plus with boost.

I'd hope for over 750 but I'm always after more power :D What size Procharger are you looking at getting?

I finally checked the motor out--doesn't look bad at all. Funny--no broken exhaust manifold bolts! That's a 1st! And they look original too.
I would definitely replace them because they WILL break if they’re original. Get ARP ones, they won’t break and they don’t cost much. Good insurance. Have you started buying parts yet?
