Yes. If youre in rust land, shoot them with PB or Kroil each day leading up to the job. Also, have the weight off of the truck when you do it. Conventional wisdom says 1 turn = 1/4" lift. Mine stayed true to that, as well. Also, it will settle down a little by driving after you do it, so don't just slap a tape on there as soon as you set it down. It is also recommended to align it afterwards, although a few turns really don't seem to make a huge difference. I'm sure it's best practice, though, especially with new tires.

Thanks for the info. This is a great forum. I plan on swapping the wheels out on Saturday after I clean them up and get a few coats of dip on them. Im gonna start spraying the bolts today because, yeah, shes a rusty girl under there. I didn't plan on doing anything to this truck since I already have 2 other projects but I just cant help it. Plus, this has become my daily and it just needs the right touches because cmon, stock is never cool
**edit** how many turns do you think I should give it? I don't wanna sacrifice ride comfort since that's all this thing has going for it over my other cars lol. From the math you gave me, Im thinking maybe 3 turns to raise it about 3/4 might not hurt

That's about what I did, and I'm running 275/70/18 (33.2"), free and clear. Ride is great, although my jounce stops dont touch anymore, so I'll probably put a little pad in there when I tear into the front end. Not sure if I'll even notice.

Mine is also a Z71, so my rear springs are different, so the height to level the front may be a little different for you. I still have just a touch of rake on mine.

Thanks for the info. Im not necessarily looking to level as I like a little rake ( probably the muscle car guy in me ). Im gonna try the 3 turns if it doesn't fight me

These were taken a couple weeks ago when my nitto tires had about a few hundred miles worth of tread left on them and at factory ride height.

Those wheels look great on that truck. Great choice. Nice updated factory look. I was looking for those but the ones I bought just kinda fell in my lap for such a good price. These will at least hold me over until I find something I like better.

Thanks! Yeah I like these wheels a lot. I had chrome 8-spoke 07 Denali 20s. And these just fell in my lap. Lol. This is the updated look with the new bigger tires I scored for dirt cheap and a level kit.

Is that glossy plastidip?

They look good.

Yeah, I felt like they would look better with a gloss finish so I threw a bunch of coats of the plastidip "glossifier" on them. They came out pretty damn good considered I did them in 32* weather outside. Im gonna leave them like this for a while.
