Since you are in a place that gets big temp swings, The time of year you put it together makes a difference also on those cover gaskets.. tightening things up was probably in order for quite a while now. Glad its not a full tear down....
Yeah that is a good thought. I also tightened them down last night right after I got home from doing 65 mph for a full hour so the axle was good and warm. Next time I’ll change the fluid and then go for a half hour drive and get them tight again

this is why I have made it a habit to get a flashlight and inspect under the truck and under the hood about once a month for remnants of or whole stop signs, I drive her kind of hard so I need to catch things like this as early as possible. I check all the seals and bushings, all the suspension parts, brake calipers, u-joints. under the hood I look for leaks or rubbing hoses or wires, check my tires for nails or screws. Anytime I have it jacked up I check the wheel hubs, if I take it to have the tires rotated (since it's free) I take the opportunity to check stuff up close then also.

When I was a younger dumb ass I had a 70's Burb with a 6" lift and was nice and pissed off one night and did a slow roll over a street sign to let off some steam and the ****** sliced one of my shocks open.

Welded up my new exhaust. Still not sure if I'm going to need to put a resonator on yet.

No need for a resonator imo but whatever floats your boat. I still really wanna go full titanium exhaust on mine but in order to do that first you gotta not be broke

Interior drone is my reason for the resonator. Outside i could care less how loud it is.
