willing to spend 600-700 on parts 1k total on parts and installation what am i looking at best for that amount?
Here is my list and cost
Kenwood Excelon DMX906S - ~$550 with adapters and dash kit. Double din radios can be MUCH cheaper, but this has wireless android auto.
Kenwood Excelon X801-5 5 Channel Amp - $150
JL Audio 12W3V3-2 - $180
Amp wire kit, RCAs, Misc supplies - $85
Future plans are to add a set of front component speakers (I have some rockford coaxial speakers from years ago when a factory speaker blew in the truck now) and build a new sub box. The one I am using now is one that a friend had laying around and it isn't the best.
JL C2-650 Components - $200
Box - $40
This is strictly material costs as I installed all of it. Starting with a cheaper radio will let you get a lot further for $600-$700. Don't try to cut corners on an amp. A decent 5 channel like I have is a good investment. You don't need JL speakers, I just like them and personally think they are worth the money. They have a cheaper line of subs and speakers than what is on my list. Rockford Fosgate stuff is good too and you can try to buy used on some things if you are comfortable with it. My amp was used any my sub was open box.
