Hi guys and gals, it has come time for new tires on my 2011 ltz suburban1500. Looking for suggestions. I mainly drive highway and will be looking for a smooth quiet ride. I had primewell Valera h/t that wore good, were cheap, but I thought were noisy and bouncy. Thanks in advance for you suggestions. Larry

Here is a post I made a while back with a link to a couple of threads on this topic.

My guess is suggestions are going to come in with 75-80% saying Michelin Defenders
10-15% saying Bridgestone Dueler Alenza’s and a few will have suggestions like Continental or some A/T type.

Michelin Defenders. You won't be disappointed, based on your stated driving criteria. A bit pricey, but worth it, based on performance and tread wear longevity.

You can go to a 305/50x20 tire with no modifications or rubbing.

Are these good for my truck ? Michelin
X LT A/s. All 4 mounted, balanced, road hazard, new valve stems, and TPMS service for about 750 at Costco.

According to Michelin, this is a club only tire. Sam's, costco, etc.

This isn't always bad, but usually it means (imo) they are cutting the cost somewhere along the line. Maybe they have a little less siping. Maybe the compound is a little cheaper. I have seen threads on other boards comparing the club only Michelins to the Defenders, and the consensus seems to be that they don't quite live up. To be fair, I have seen reviews by people who have sworn by them through multiple sets.

Where do you find tire reviews ? I am still very up in the air about which tires to buy. Firestone has a deal for these LE 2 for about 900 otd . Any reviews on these ?
