Pulling my hair out.

Tahoe I bought cake with a key fob that didn’t work. I replaced the battery. Nothing.

I tried reprogramming the fob. Nothing.
hooked up the Tech2, couldn’t figure it out, nothing.
I’m doing the, gold unlock-key on/offx2 then release but the locks don’t cycle.
Bought 2 new fobs. Same thing.
I opened the owners manual, and followed the steps to program the locks, involved holding the high beam switch back, that worked I heard the locks cycle, but at different events holding the lock and unlock buttons of the fob nothing programmed it. What the heck am I doing wrong?!

Pretty sure the Tech 2 doesn't do the remote programming on NBS.

@Nick91l What year is your Tahoe?

EDIT: if a 2000, have you tried this with the original remote?

You're doing this exact procedure?

Make sure the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver or equivalent is functioning properly. The Tech-2 can can be used for this.

I thought I'd take a look at this on mine ('04), just to see how the test works, but I'm sure not seeing anything like that on my Tech 2 in the Body section.

Yea it’s a 2000. I can get to the programming screen on the tech2 but it’s just a function screen. It doesn’t show that it’s entering a program mode or anything. And I’ve followed the procedure to the T countless times. I wonder if there’s a fuse pulled or something but I’m unsure.

There are numerous fuses that are labeled with the word "lock" in them, so good luck hunting. If you don't have the manual with the fuse diagrams you can download it from GM, or send me a PM and I'll email it to you.

I finally got ahold of the previous owner, they cut the wire for the keyless entry system under the fuse box...
