I'm getting ready to switch out my silver OEM rims to some black aftermarket rims and I want to move the TPMS valve stems over but I don't want silver aluminum stems sticking out. Is it possible to switch out just the stem part with black rubber stems?

I'm contemplating just buy all new TPMS modules because the Tahoe is 15 years old now. Any suggestions on what I should buy if I do that?

Bump... Does anyone have recommendations for black stem TPMS modules to match black rims? Go with the aftermarket TPMS kind?

I called my local tire shop and they want to install aftermarket TMPS module they supply for $75 each. That sounds ridiculous. I guess I'll ping around on eBay and see what I can find.

Agreed. Totally ridiculous. Just change them out and be done. It takes a good shop less than 1/2 hour.

You can get out a little cheaper buying used but who knows how long they will last. There are some good sellers on eBay offering decent warranty on used. My tire shop charges me $50 each for new installed. Might try a different shop?

2009 Hybrid Tahoe I was having trouble with mine going out and being hard to reset. There is apparently about a ten year life to the TPMS battery. I bit the bullet and had discount tire do all 4 at 60 bucks a piece for a new TPMS installed and tire re-balanced.
The GM twomode Hybrids do not have a spare tire plus I am running expensive Nittos and aftermarket wheels so I need to have a working TPMS on this rig!
I kept the old sensors and can post some pics if anyone is interested in seeing them? Most people are probably familiar but to me it was interesting to see how the setup works. The stems are a replaceable part and just thread onto the sensor.

Yes, pics please if it's not too much trouble. Any information is good information. Thanks!
