Hey guys how’s it going. I’m new here so bear with me.
I have a 2007 Hoe with a CCM kit on it with just stock tires for now. In the future however I want to be able to run 33s on aftermarket wheels and still be able to do light off-road(rough dirt roads/trails). I’m ok with trimming plastic but not metal.
I was looking into the RC 3.5” lift and the TC 4” lift. I don’t have the money for any bigger nor do I want any bigger.
Should I keep the CCM and just trim a little or should I buy a bigger lift? If so, RC or TC?
I am also open for suggestions.
Thanks for the help.

Welcome Tanner. One option to make sure your new wheels are not too wide and are the right offset. Too often, we see fellas put 9 inch wide wheels with a universal offset that requires trimming to make the tire fit. With at least a level, one can run a 34" tire, the 275-65-20 on a factory wheel with no rub and no trimming required.

Look up Charles' threads on Overlanding and his truck may already be set up the way you're wanting to. @Tozan

Thanks guys.
I looked at Charles’ set up and I think it’s pretty similar to what I’m thinking. I probably won’t do the bumpers and I’d rather not have to worry about gear ratio as he did so I think I’ll stick around 33ish.
Would the CCM level I have work with 33x11.5 or something similar? Also any insight on the RC 3.5” vs the TC 4”?

Also for wheels I’m thinking 0 to -18 offset. I want the tires to sit slightly outside the fenders or at least flush.

What gearing do you have? Do you have a two speed transfer case? A two speed will have 2H 4H and 4Lo on the dial A single speed will only have 2H and 4H

For off road and or bigger tires a high low range transfer case is really a big deal. My first set of tires that caused a big loss of MPG and power were 34 inch tires...

Check with the lift company and see what they suggest for off set. 33s or 285/70s should fit just fine.

I think I have 3.40 gearing or something similar. My transfer case is a two speed.

Sorry I’m dumb. I actually looked at my RPO’s and I guess I have 4.10 gears with limited slip
