My Dad taught me to drive them into the ground, don't do nuthin', when it breaks, go out and buy another. My neighbor and good senses taught me about maintenance! LOL

Love my Dad, the last time I saw him work on a car was mom's '72 Pontiac Ventura. Then, when I got old enough to turn wrenches, he got amnesia and didn't know how to gap a plug anymore or change the oil!

That's what kids are for. The pioneer's had them to help on the land. Now us kids were there to do chores that dad no longer wanted to do. Cut the grass, clean out the basement and garage, paint, change the oil on the cars and tune them up. It is a cycle that is not being repeated so much anymore. I think it is because there is no trophy that goes with the task.

You're absolutely right Ron. The Lord blessed me with three daughters and they have all learned to change and plug a tire, replace hubs, shocks, install hitches, exhausts, etc. One, at age 13, changed the master cylinder by herself on our Montana and was amazed at how much people get paid to do the work she did. They can shoot a gnat in the eye and prepare a meal fit for a king! Love my kids.

I love that your 3 daughters can do all that too. Not afraid to get dirty. Not afraid to learn and listen. That is so rare now days. They are likely gonna be super picky about boyfriends and husbands when the time comes. If the guy can't "hang" with them, move on down the road.

You are never going to believe this. I just got a text from him and I am going to type it in here word for word.....

"Neighbors money not available until mid February, $9500 cash today. That's a compromise between 10 and 9.....they have my truck ready to pick up."

I just texted back that I was only in it at $9000. I knew this neighbor thing was a load of bunk. I also just told him I was not even interested at $9000. I think there is some bad feelings on his part. He has a right to feel that. I am going to walk away from this one.

Well, one of them should be lot more picky! She picked one that didn't even have a license and thankfully he was eventually kicked to the curb, unworthy!

I don't get these millennials not wanting to drive, when we were kids it meant FREEDOM!!!
