Replaced O2 sensor with the Bosch ( probably should have used AC Delco ) and still getting 2 codes on the CenTec scanner. It is bank 1 sensor 2 and the codes are P0141 and P0141 (pending). I have cleared the codes probably 10 times. I can clear them and drive 100 miles and the check engine light wont pop up until about 20 seconds after it is turned off and cranked again. I am fighting p1516 also, so more details to follow.

The 141 is the heater circuit for the sensor, so check for chaffed wires/bad connectors. Are you getting limp mode with your 1516 ever?

Yes, getting that code. I am making it home now to check out some grounds. It is weird that I am getting that code after the O2 sensor replacement and can drive for many miles with no light. But I do have have the same related situation, the colder it is the more frequent the “reduced engine power” is. If any GM engineers are reading this they can come and reprogram the message to say “ No power” instead of reduced engine power. I can see if they would have it to where it reduces power by a percentage. For example if you are doing 75 it reduces it to 55 mph but to completely take your ability away to get over or out of rolling traffic safely is beyond me. If I don’t fix it within a week or two I am snatching the 6.0 out and stuffing it into my roller 98 Trans Am convertible and junking this and getting rid of my other GM vehicles in my fleet and writing a nasty letter to GM and tell them what I really think of their products. I have had a ton of vehicles my whole life and only two of them have put my life in harms way. A 2004 Ford Focus ABS light blinked on me doing 70 mph on a freeway and then it stopped for about a mile and then all 4 brakes locked up at the same time and then there’s this 03 Denali that did it on a 2 lane interstate in a construction zone with the concrete barricades on both sides with no emergency pull off. Sorry for the rant.

I would suspect a wiring problem pre-sensor. The 1516, I would go after the throttle body harness.

Check the fuse for the heater circuit and then check for 12V at the o2 connector across the heater circuit.

15 amp fuse is good now. It was popped. I checked the O2 sensor and it didn’t look like it fully seated, the little blue lock that keeps it plugs up has a loop on one end and it was pulling on one side. Maybe that fixed the 0141 issue, don’t know yet. I can wiggle the gray connector on the TAC module and make it go into limp mode. But that just throws new codes that I have never had before. Those wires run in black conduit under or into the black plastic relay center under the hood.A4E1A6B7-8902-476F-A363-6D720423764A.jpegAD95A6E2-6DC9-4B76-AF48-C5E3D73255F0.jpeg

Wiggling the connector and getting new codes is a whole new ballgame.

The heater fuse blew either due to a shorted heater, which can be tested with a meter, or the harness is chaffed and contacting the body. This would take a visual inspection along the harness.
