Katzkin makes such nice stuff....they have the tuscan brown leather I want for the tahoe but how I want it configured is 2 grand...ooooof
Yeah, I considered something that’s not off-the-shelf but that means it has to be installed by a dealer and the price jumps up 3-4 times as much. I bought the entire kit for $575 and I’m going to sell my factory leather for $400.

yeah that was kinda irritating that it was only available to be installed, I couldnt buy it and do it myself. I feel like they lost a lot of their customization options as far as colors and such now

Did you buy a nice filter for it, too?
Just a brand new ac delco one

How does the original fender opening size compare to the size of the tube or throttle body (volume wise)?

Airflow in a system is limited to the smallest point in the system.

We're not talking forced induction here, where air is compressed/forced through the tubes, but sucked through by what the engine needs. My stock 6.2l with 403hp (410 on E85) uses the same sized opening in the fender, and pretty sure the same intake tubing, as the lower HP 5.3l.

All the tubes do is quiet the airflow and take up space...lol

The map sensor reads a higher pressure than it used to, on days with similar weather. I may not know a whole hell of a lot about fluid dynamics, but I know there is more to it than peak flow numbers. Its not game changing stuff, but it is better than it used to be by 0.2 pounds at peak rpm

Probably due to new filter, lol

It just depends on what options you want, like all leather upgrade, two different colors, different colored stitching etc. Any changes add up fast.
