Slow starting help 07 Tahoe

It gurgles between 2 and 3 and then will run probably 30% for 2-3 seconds and then fully run. Only happens when its cold or hasn't been driven in 8-10 hours.

Then I am still going with the fuel pressure and/or fuel pressure bleed off scenario.

It may be, but need to understand what the pressures are doing. Could be other things as well. Before you make plans to drop the tank, get a pressure gauge on it. In the mean time, might keep the amount of fuel in the tank to a minimum so you don't have a full tank when you go to swap it out.

Sniff that hose on the fuel pressure regulator. If some fuel is sucked into the intake after shutting the engine off, the engine may be partially flooded. Once the flooded condition resolves itself, all is normal. This is an easy check. After this, start getting the FP gauge.

It could even be condensation in the plug boots, but I'd expect it to stumble for a few minutes until the moisture gets expelled from the engine heat.

By 2007, the fuel regulator no longer sat up on the valve covers and is part of the fuel pump now.

Just curious where this mysterious vacuum hose is on a 07-14 ?

Hmm, a quick look up of a 2007 fuel pressure regulator, and I learn that after 2004 GM switched to a returnless fuel system and put the regulator in the fuel tank.

I filled up last at a loaf and jug, Kroger and put in 85. Is that bad?
