Can you make the hybrid go fast?
Yes When i put it in M

It can, but like many Prius drivers he purposely drives slow in the fast lane to create "traffic breaks"

if the speed limit is 55 and you are doing 75 or 80 in a constitution zone..... you have not been on the I5 the lane markings are worthless

Speeding does not get you anywhere any faster it's a proven fact and far more likely to get in a crash. if your inexperienced (which is everyone on the road)

i don't mind going 80-90 even 115mph (which i did for 910 miles trip )

if i'm driving slow i'm anticipating a predictable slow gap ahead, that is prone to the issue sometimes you end up stopping 100%

i don't mind going fast i go based on my prediction of traffic conditions and road conditions
I had the hoe at 75-85mph or so on the I5..

so if traffic is doing 0 to 25 to 0 mph I rather go 13mph

much better then Stop and go (most likely to cause a pile up in stop and go it's typical a 2-4 car pile up)
I have seen them a lot...
i don't care if anyone hits me have you seen the crash test the rear end is reinforced ... and I added additional protection to the rear end( Tailgater Bait) it's designed if you hit me, you will hook(fishing hook) onto my hitch wont be getting away that easy

I all ready checked the CVC it's not illegal to have it when not towing

unless it's a car/unibody last time i checked the GMT900 is a truck chassis

the whole point of it is to punch a hole all the way to the engine block(possible even the engine block) using the hitch it's a 3 ball with hook for maximum damage. ...

Also 23.xMPG avg is in ICE ONLY once at a steady speed the Electrical motor rarely assist the engine .... unless it's going uphill or accelerating...

if I go all out trying to squeeze every drop of gas.. using both ICE and EV i have gotten it to 28.7mpg combined. over 212 miles

You’d better hope you and I don’t meet on the road when you drive like you say you do. I guarantee you won’t come out on the winning end of the deal. ;)

He has a hybrid model (gas and electric) and likes to chime in when the rest of us non-hybrid owners talk gas mileage.

There is always that "One guy"....

Guess my fossil burning burb doing this normally rolling 75-85 aint bad? Traffic and what not lowers me down in 17s to 18s but when clear and clean she eats nice... Seems MPG is better when the outside temps are between 50 deg and 70 deg... Cooler or hotter the MPG goes down... Her best on a nice flat road at 65 was 24mpg over 50 miles on that stretch... My commute normally bounces 17 to 20 mpg doing an average of all year, hot and cold, 20k miles a year. Towing I average 12 mpg...
