I have a 04 Tahoe 3/4 drop. 2wd. 24s. 305 35s. Mcgaughys spindles Djm rear kit. Spohn adjustable beltech sp shocks. I do not like the way these shocks ride an alot of forums I see alot of hoe owners say they Have bilstein hds. What shocks are those? The yellow 4600s or are they the silver one . No one puts part numbers I hear they ride really good whatever they are. Any help is greatly appreciated.

They are the same shock with the 4600 for standard height, 5100 for lifted trucks. You want the 4600's. Great shocks.

This is not entirely accurate. They are valved differently. While both ate digressive, the 5100s are valved to handle more unsprung weight, i.e. larger/heavier wheels and tires. This, combined with the adjustable length, is why they are for "lifted" applications.

Thanks for the replies but the research I've done the 5100s have different part numbers. They have some for 0 to 1 plus lift an then some for higher an the 0 lift part number 5100 is the same extended length as the 4600 shock .
