this dash is different than the one in my tahoe. The piece isn’t the same. I assume your Yukon will not be the same as this videos Sierra as well

Ok cool if the 90 plug doesn’t work I’ll give this a try
True, they have another video where they worked on a Denali. I had to slow the video down to slowest speed. Maybe this one will provide a better example. They did cut a piece out of the back though.

Anyone here install a double din pioneer? While trying to mount it back up the usb plug in the back hits the back metal. It won’t fit back in unless I remove the usb cable completely (which sucks that’s 99% of the way I will be using it)

Any work around? 2010 tahoe
I installed a pioneer double din receiver with Apple play. I had the same issue because all the leads connecting speakers and controls were too short. I soldered 1’ extensions to all leads, then instead of squashing all wires in back of radio, snaked them below and in back of the ac controls. Worked real well for me!

I also used a usb extension cable, bought at Fry’s and plugged this into USB port in back of pioneer, then fished the wire to a more accessible place in dash

I cut out some of the brace behind mine. Have seen any negative, noice, or anything else. I just didn't feel like ordering more parts and waiting for it to come in.

I have done the same, just notch it out and it will be fine, I have 4200nex, 3 or 4 yrs now. No problems, and yes it will sit right at bracket, doesnt get to hot any issues.
