It's about time for new tires. We just had our first good winter storm with rain, frozen rain, sleet, hail, snow, and now mud, all of which showed me that I might need to buy them sooner than later. I was leaning toward mild, all terrain tires with the mountain snowflake designation, but some of my reading is indicating that I should stick with all season tires. The Falcon is AWD, and I've read that all terrain tires are not necessarily good for some AWD systems. I have a mile of dirt road in and out of my property every day, and when it's wet, we get something like booger dirt (it gets slick as snot). Beyond that, it's all pavement. We get 20-30 inches of rain per year and 1-4 inches of snow a few times each year. Very infrequently, we get some light icing on the highway. What has been the experiences of the hive? Be gentle, please, my Jedi Search Powers are still developing. Thanks.

Michelin defender LTX tires are hands down the best (highway) tires for these trucks. They’re a bit pricey but worth every penny! Good traction in all scenarios, and long service life.
Fixed it Chase! LOL

KO2s for snow and mud and muck Keith! They're surprisingly great on the highway too. Great running through rain, hurricanes, running water, standing water, streams, beach surf, etc. too!

Did a lot of research back in 2017 and decided on KO2s over the Defenders, which I love btw. Just finished up another refresher to see what's new, still going with KO2s though some are catching up. They're so good looking too, even if they stunk, they're too purty to take off for good tires! LOL

Now fellas, who has a better looking tire than a KO2??? Anyone? LOL

I’ve never had traction issues when my dirt road turns to a pit of muddy muck after a snowstorm rolling on Michelin tires. So there’s that... lol

It's a great tire, just having a little fun. What is amazing to me about the Michelin is that it performs as well as it does off road with that highway tread. Conversely, the KO2 has excellent road manners too. Each is just a little bit better at what they were designed to excel at than the other.

They do look pretty good and one of them is a dead ringer for a KO2 at 10 feet away. General traumatized me for life in the 1990s. Never did I experience a brand of tire with so many belt separations, even more than Firestone!
