Awesome. Thanks for the details on first hand experience with it. [emoji16][emoji106]
No problem. My truck has hydroboost btw and stainless braided brake lines if that makes any difference. The brakes were always good enough (except the aforementioned fade when loaded down and in the mountains) and in proper working order on this rig with decent pads. It was just time to replace everything so I figured why not. I am happy I did.id imagine someone that works their rig harder towing or has big tires would appreciate it even more.

Got a few things done over the weekend. Installed my radar detector hardwire kit and mirror mount and put these signal mirrors on. I wish they had puddle lights, but they were free from one of my friends who put tow mirrors on his Duramax so I cant compain. Also finally remembered to take a picture of the truck with the running boards dyed. Just used the same black plastic dye I used on the bumpers. Really impressed with the stuff so far! We will see how it ages...

Looks good. What dye did you use for the running boards? Which radar is that?

The dye is called forever black. I like it because it is a wipe on application so you really do not have to mask anything or worry about overspray. It comes with a foam brush to apply it. That does not work. You need one of those wax applicator pads. If you use the brush, it will look streaky (plus it also takes longer).

That is an ****** iX. There is a newer version out now (the iXc).

Sounds pretty good. Wonder if that will work on the trim around the windows too..? Something I’ve been trying to get looking better. I use some good chemical guys gel, but it doesn’t last long. Might have to check that out.. [emoji106]

We got around 16"-18" of snow, I got to test out the NV149 AWD case the 06 SD has and all I can say is WOW! It had no trouble plowing out of all the snow behind it, and I was driving through spots up over the fog lights. This truck is awesome in deep snow!! It has Michelin Defenders in it and they have great bite in snow! I can't decide if I like the SD in the snow more than my 09 6.2 Tahoe in the snow, lol. They both exceeded my expectations in the snow today. Colorado roads were in pretty bad shape today.

P0446 code reared it's head again. Also, hard to fill fuel tank. Changed charcoal canister this time around. Old one didn't seem plugged, but had a bulge that I did not notice on the new one. If this doesn't work, going to try and replace purge and vent solenoids again, if that doesn't work, then fuel tank pressure sensor.

Sounds like a vent solenoid. The problems with the fueling probably related too, but there are some gas stations that just got too much flow. I don't have fueling problems anywhere, but Costco. So, at Costco gas station I just put in the fueling gun at an angle, so the seal is not sealing, and it does the trick. Greenpeace is upset :-(

Thanks! Yeah, she’s a 50 footer too. Plenty of little scratches and dings, but looks good from a distance. Lol.

From my experience now, I'd buy used calipers with brackets from a fresh (2017-2019) Tahoe/Silverado/Escalade off eBay. You'll get OEM quality for around $100 each.

Btw, 2017 brakes will fit 2001. Here is a guy doing exactly that:

The site is in Russian, but pictures speak louder that words
