Finally upgraded my head unit! I missed out on an identical set of 15 Yukon wheels this summer for $150. I've been kicking myself ever since needless to say. A local tire shop had these wheels for $400 and picked them up for $300. I bought a set of pirelli scorpion str at Sam's club for $522 installed. Just in time for winter, I even got my old stocks wheels sold.

Not necessarily today, but this last week I've managed to get my Yukon to start and run without bitching about anything. TPMS fault has been on for the last few months and oil life is at 0%.

I have a place nearby that has an ongoing deal that makes changing your own oil just stupid. The key is getting there 15 minutes before they open to queue up so you get out in an hour. Taking my daughter to school in the morning makes that impossible and their not open on weekends. So, I bought some Amazon brand synthetic and filter and crawled under the rust beast over the weekend.

Discount tire charges $89 (and a couple hours of waiting) to install a new TPMS, so I bought one off Amazon for $39. Discount tire charges $20 to install it, but I thought I'd try putting it in myself. I didn't have any luck with the 3 methods I tried to break the outer bead, so I threw the wheel in the trunk of the G5 and went down to Discount tire. I was willing to pay the $20, but not wait 2 hours for them to get to it and asked if they can just quickly break the bead and I'll instal it myself. He agreed and it took him all of 30 seconds to roll the tire to the back, break the bead and roll it back to me. Being a faithful customer, he didn't charge me for this laborious task. Went back home, put in the new sensor aired the tire back up and went to programming. This is an important part... I couldn't find a definite answer if there was any need to "program" the sensor itself, or can I just teach the system to accept the new sensor. Happy to confirm, the sensor just worked. I put the system in the learn mode and it was accepted as part of the family. I think I'll head over to the thread and make a special note for others.

P0446 code reared it's head again. Also, hard to fill fuel tank. Changed charcoal canister this time around. Old one didn't seem plugged, but had a bulge that I did not notice on the new one. If this doesn't work, going to try and replace purge and vent solenoids again, if that doesn't work, then fuel tank pressure sensor.
