Anybody out there with a 19 Suburban premier?

Been looking at 19 suburban premiers. I found one at a local dealer for $60,601. A second farther away for $58,500.

I currently have a 18 Tahoe Custom with under 13k miles. I still owe money but it’s in great shape. I also have a mini van paid off that I got an offer for $7k from the dealer. My tahoe trade in offer is still in the works. I would like to see 33-34k.

Does anybody have any experience with the 19 suburbans and their performance? I feel this price tag is almost too good to pass on.

My main reason for the upgrade is with two 80 LB dogs and my wife, if we go away for a weekend we fill the Tahoe. We hope to have kids soon. My wife has her own mid size SUV. Our thought was that the van and Tahoe which are both in my name would be replaced by the Suburban. Also, making it easier so that two people don’t have to keep three cars running, in shape, and insured.

thanks in advance.

I have one my thought. I noticed the main difference between those prices I named is the wheels. The more expensive suburban has 22 inch wheels. The other 18. I actually prefer the look of the 18s. Has anybody ever asked the dealer to downgrade the wheels and take that price off?

I have a 19 premiere 20” wheels. I have two 65lb dogs We have a Tahoe too and have the same results. We can fill up the Tahoe between the wife myself and the dogs with their boxes.
I’m pretty happy with her but had wanted the 6.2 but didn’t want the other stuff you had to get in the rat and p+ packages. I ordered a 20 the way I wanted and will trade this one in early next year. This trade is purely a personal preference thing. The 19 runs like a top and has had no major issues.

If you can don’t trade. Sell it privately. It should go quick with the low miles. If you don’t want to deal with hassle then trade it but you know they will beat you up in the trade. Large SUV market is hot.

I’ve thought about selling private. But with no job ( I don’t have set hours, when there’s work I work. And right now there is work) so selling privately might be just to difficult.

My other thought was is the tax credit when you trade in for a new car going to give me savings that may close the gap between a trade in and private sale

I find when I sell privately I still make out ahead even with the tax situation. But I hear what your saying. It’s just easier

Depends on how much time you have. I have close to zero so always either trade them in, but I will take them to CarMax first to get their quote.

In Virginia, my experience is that they tax you on the sale price of the vehicle without consideration of the trade. I know this because I’ve had a trade difference where the trade was worth more than the car I was buying.

I just learned the hard way that our state bases the sales tax on the value before rebates and discounts. That added $4-5k to the cost of my 2019 Tahoe.
