I have 2013 PPV Tahoe. I plan on replacing the interior out of a 2010 Tahoe LTZ. I acquired everything from the donor vehicle from the inside except the instrument cluster. I have all the wiring harnesses, door panel switches (basically the complete interior) for the the heated and cooled seats, etc.

I could probably replace the HVAC system at the same time since I will have it all out anyway and convert it to the digital dual zone system.

So the question is this, would it be easier to use the BCM from the donor vehicle and just reprogram the vin and probably tweak a few things to it using this https://www.amazon.com/VXDIAG-Tech2...074365Q6H/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

Or just try to reprogram everything (remote start, interior lights, seats, airbags, etc.) to the original BCM using the same software listed above?

Sorry I don't have an answer, but I do have a question.. do the seats bolt right up, and will the power work? (without the heat and cooling). I also have a PPV and would like to swap but don't necessarily need the heat and cooling

if you haven't tried it yet then my short answer would be yes you can program those options in, you will need to know all the rpo codes to use and what you have already (rpo wise) and what you are adding, as far as tweaking other things no it doesn't work like that it doesn't allow you to change parameters or settings on equipment, that would only happen if there was something in a updated calibration that wasn't in a previous calibration. If you want to tweak the bcm that's whole different ball game, there are companys that can do SOME changes like white's automotive services offers some specialized bcm programming.

I did buy the software, haven't had time to install or try it yet. Will not attempt it until I start the conversion.

From what I have read, the software is designed to reprogram the BCM, was hoping someone from the forum with some experience doing this would comment.

Though you may be out of luck you usually cannot re-program the BCM. I know for my Pontiac Grand Prix they are write once and you have to have a new one to program. Not sure the same on Tahoe but I bet since dealer wants to make money.

Mike, you're going to have to search the forums and seek those guys out. They don't post much and some came here to learn, fix and get back to work, they don't like jabbering on truck forums in their spare time.

Jason, one can program their BCM with a bi-directional scan tool and a subscription to ACDelco's TDS system. In addition, there's a guy who has cracked the BCM and can enable all kinds of cool features if you want, like headlights and fogs on at the same time, remote start time longer, no LED flashing, etc.

What software? I am assuming you mean the subscription to tdsweb?

Ahh OK that is good to know at least GM changed their stance on that. I was under the impression they were not able to be modified for BCM like if you needed one and grabbed one from the junkyard that it could not be re-programmed for another vehicle or add an RPO or other.
