Ordered some goodies. Plan on tossing these on my p/s and trans lines.

Will probably upgrade to a nicer donaldson filter for the trans down the road. This one claims 25 microns. The nicer units I'm piecing together go down to 6. Could go smaller but then it ends up becoming difficult for me to find parts and availability is going to be an important factor. Meh

Going down to too small of a micron MAY cause drivability issues due to a causing too much pressure differential across the filter.

All things I've considered

This shows flow vs. pressure drop. My beef with the thing, however, is that it doesn't list fluid viscosity

And in the event that, for whatever reason, doesn't flow enough, the housing I'm looking at has an internal bypass valve set to 5psi, that diverts fluid around before it even goes to the filter. So in the event of a plugged filter, fluid too thick, etc etc, the system will be designed to fail "open" in such a manner that it can't/won't "scrape" any schmoo off the filter.

Edit: From what I can find - watching the trans cooler drain monkeys on YT - the thing only flows a hair above 1gpm. At least at idle. I'm not sure how the trans is plumbed and if / to what degree oil cooler flow is related to input shaft RPM. My setup should give a pretty wide safety margin as well as fail safes

That is pretty well thought out, I like it.

Pulled this 3 piece engine cover from a 02 Denali. Mine being dbw set up it doesn’t fit perfectly. So I’ll have to modify it a bit. Also got a nicer looking intake tube from it as well.

Hmmmm...my 02 Denali is DBW. It should fit because some of the 02’s were DBC, some DBW and afaik there’s only one cover.

The passenger side piece hits the top of the plastic part of the throttle body and so does the top piece
