I have a 2015 Tahoe 4wd with the 6l80 trans. Want to change the filter. Will the pan drop down without binding into the exhaust cross pipe? Or must I lower the pipe to get the pan out? Thanks Jerry

Very similar to ours Steven, you might need to pry the exhaust crossover pipe down to get the pan in and out Jerry. You can also loosen or remove the bolts on the transmission mount and raise the trans some with a floor jack.

What he said and welcome to the forum.

You have to lower the exhaust. I tried prying, moving, and everything else. Three nuts per side and the exhaust drops down. Have fun!

Removed the two nuts holding the transmission mount. Use jack to raise back of transmission. Slips right out.
I have a EWK fluid extractor suction pump that I used to remove the oil from out jet ski.
Used this to extract the oil from the trans. When you drop the pan, no mess. Jerry
