I have a 2007 GMC Denali 6.2 L
I know it's been talked about lots and lots of times on this post but I cannot be even begin to tell you how pleased I am I have AC Delco synthetic blend in the engine ACDelco synthetic in the transmission completely throughout mobile 1 synthetic and the front and rear differentials I have AC Delco synthetic in the transfer case, I have a K&N air filter. The excitement was too much
I did not reset my meter it raised on itself I will do the math on paper and follow up stay tuned if you like. Feel free to post your MPG
Oh by the way I went from 12.3 now its 14.8

No way, no how, did a change of fluids and an air filter increase your mileage by 20%.

Standard-issue Dex6 is already a synthetic blend, and if following the recommendations, you already had full synthetic in your rear axle. Your transfer case takes Dex6 as well, so that should have already been a sythetic blend.

And if your air filter is increasing your mileage, it's because it's less restrictive and filtering less, allowing larger particles of crap to be ingested into the engine.

Using your measuring stick, then using full synthetics would increase your mileage another 10-15%, right? Why stop at synthetic blends?

So about this Denali about a year ago only done simple oil changes and I got a Bonus at work so I was like you know what I'm going to change my fluids and it was bad. Probably nothing ever been changed on it!

I do drive 75% highway 25% city

Also the wife hasn't drove in it yet LMAO

That’s a sizable increase for just changing the oil. A few other factors can affect it as well like tire pressure and front end alignment just to name a couple. With the colder temps coming, it’s not uncommon to see a few pounds of air pressure lost for every 10 degree drop in temperature. The biggest of all when it comes to mileage is your right foot.

I used to own a Silverado and it had the MPG counter on it and I found myself driving very differently to keep the MPG high as possible. I am so OCD it was a PITA!

Kind of like that insurance commercial where the lady keeps saying, "Don't mess with my discount".

How many miles have you driven since you reset your mpg counter?

I'll bet it starts to go back closer to normal

I have not reset it I have done about 8 fill ups went Florida but after that 5 $25 pumps, and this last one I filled it up twice so I would say approximately 3500 to 3800 just a guess

Also if anybody wants to know I'm approaching moon shot the big 200k Miles
