I'm assuming like most cars the high beams have the ability to be flashed vs. actually putting them on?

If you push the stalk forward, the high beams go on until you pull the stalk back, however if you just pull it back, should the high beams flash momentarily until you let the stalk return to it's "parked" position?

For some reason my high beams don't flash, with my old explorer it was because wires in the steering column were pulled to tightly, therefor the connector from the stalk was pulling away from the harness connector so it wasn't making a connection, if I adjusted the steering wheel position it worked fine. I took the lower cover off and used my hand to jiggle the wire bundle a little, but the problem still persists, any idea?

Also related to that, does anyone have a link to the wiring diagrams for these trucks?

My 2011 Tahoe just lost the function to "flash" the brights by pulling the multi-function switch arm, or stalk, towards the direction of the driver.

Were you able to resolve this issue without having to buy a new stalk?
