Debating on trading my 15 suburban LTX with 166,000 Kms in on a Yukon xl.
For few reasons
-better interest rate on a trade up (save 4%)
-I’ve only had suburban for a year and like to do it sooner while it’s still worth a decent amount
-i think I want a 6.2, or at the very least something better on fuel (8 or 10 speed)

Is it worth it?

It really depends on your personal equity situation as far as finacially worth it.

But after driving a 6.2 with a 10 speed you will be ruined for getting back into a 5.3 !

Might as well wait for the all new model next spring (or a year later when the manufacturing bugs are worked out). These things hold their value well enough, and you are basically getting same tech trading now...

I would wait for the new models to hit the showrooms, get a good deal on the current design Burbs that are on the lots. Full warranty and I suspect the new design, if anything like the trucks and CUVs, might not be so popular. We just got a new Tahoe, broke the bank but a super deal, and it's perfect for our needs.

Ditto!! I had a 2015 Suburban LT that I loved - no issues whatsoever...then a midnight deer jogging on the interstate totaled it...replaced with a 2016 Denali XL w/6.2L...there is no comparison between the 5.3 and 6.2! Just wish I had the 10sp trans vs 8sp crap box in the 2016....

I believe that GMC is still offering 0% interest and a big rebate for current GM owners - Deals can be had. And I'll add another vote for the 6.2 and 10 speed. They work well together.
