I just found this forum and after a quick search I've not seen anyone having a problem exactly like mine. I bought a 2007 Yukon Xl Denali back in February and everything seemed to work fine for the first few weeks. Since then I have had the transmission rebuilt and replaced the catalytic converters. My current problem is with the air conditioning. It has worked fine all summer until last week when it started blowing hot air out of the passenger side vent while the drivers side still blows cold. My first thought was the blend door actuator. Then I noticed the every time it started blowing hot air the lights would go off on the AC control panel like it had been turned off. I also realized that the rear roof vents were blowing hot air as well. I'm beginning to think it is the control panel that needs replacing. Has anyone else had this same issue? At the same time this has happened the low coolant light has started coming on at random times even though the tank is full. I wouldn't think that these two items are related. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the forum Daniel.

A bad cell in a battery that tests good can wreak havoc on an electrical system. So will bad grounds or corroded cables.

To properly diagnose these issues you need access to a bi-directional scan tool that can read the BCM codes that are stored internally. The Tech-2 is now a legacy product and they are about $350 and our trucks were made to be diagnosed by those things. You're probably right about the AC module needing replacement and if so, the Tech-2 will be needed (even the dealer might use it) to program the new one to your wagon.

Most of the time the digi a/c controller needs to be programmed to talk to the specific vehicle. Flood vehicle pops into mind with what your saying.

Anyway, call around to get a price to replace the control unit in the console and have it flashed to the vehicle if that’s where it points. Another thread just had success by using a can of PC dust off gently sprayed into the temp sensor above driver head that looks like a BT mic.

Low coolant light sounds like bad sensor, harness connection or wire. Blend doors may need love. Consider adding the GM aftermarket cabin air filter kit while you’re in there. Crazy simple install with a new, good quality razor utility knife.

I also have a 07 Yukon Denali. I replaced my ac/heater control panel a year ago. They do not need to be programmed by dealer there are just plug and play. I had the same issue with hot air on one side. I replaced the control panel with an aftermarket one and the problem was solved.

Cool! In this case, they are available on eBay. Mine is worn on the soft touch keys and looking forward ditching it.

I think I have found my problem. I had the battery tested and it was showing good. The alternator was charging but not enough to keep up.I installed a new alternator and everything is working fine now. Thanks for the tips.
