Hopefully someone here can help. I have been to 2 dealers and so far no luck. I have a 17 suburban with the lux package so it has the push button start. In the past 4 months randomly when I go to start the car the needles all swipe but doesn't start. After trying mult times it finally starts. I tried the keys in the cup holders and it doesn't work. Also tried changing keys and batteries. The last dealer said they tweaked the break peddle the last time but still doesn't work. I have video If anyone wants. Finally it always says service 4wd. Even though after it starts the code never pops up

The only GM I’ve had with pb start is a corvette and it was picky. My uneducated guess is the button or the brake pedal sensor or your fob battery. Does your cruise work all the time? Does remote start? The service light can be checked with a good scanner that reads stored codes. Dealer didn’t find any?

My 2019 Yukon was also having a similar issue. After a couple trips to the dealer they dug deep and found there was a loose engine ground cable. It's on the back side of the left hand cylinder head (not easy to get to).

I have had this happen and it was due to a dying battery, in the truck not the fob. Would start with push button but not remotely. Once battery was swapped all was good.

Another educated guess-if there are any stored codes or CEL, remote start will not work.

For start in the vehicle, several have mentioned bad negative or even positive battery cables, or simply bad battery.

I have what sounds like the same problem with my 2015 Tahoe LTZ how did it get resolved? I tried to upload the video but it wouldn’t work
