Hi,
This is my first post. I looked but couldn’t find any info on my particular issue. My Denali passenger headlight will not work correctly. It flickers 3 times then stays off. The led running lights are fine. Any ideas?

Thanks
Jason

Should we assume you’re referring to the low beam?

Well hopefully it’s the bulb and not the ballast. That would be a bigger PITA to replace.

Usually ballast last long, most likely it is the bulb that needs to be replaced

I do agree, but I notice in mine it seems like the low beam HID’s fire up quite often when the headlight switch is left in Auto. I feel like too much, it’ll still be pretty light out and I’ll notice from the reflection on the back of the vehicle in front of me that my headlights are on.

So it’s become a habit for me to just switch them to parking lights during the day so my low beams aren’t on for no reason in Auto headlight mode. Because I know constant firing up and shutting off when in Auto headlight mode can prematurely wear out HID ballasts and bulbs.

I'm not worried about the ballasts running too long, I only drive about 1k miles a month.
