Didn't know scosche had one. Cheaper (in shale only), but it already comes in your choice of colors. It says its sold by Scosche and first listed on Amazon 6 months ago, not sure if that's a new product. If I was making the choice right now, Id go with the Scosche kit. I don't think this was ever mentioned in the DD sticky. I hope you post up your experience if you get it, or at least the link if you don't.

Some of them are in stock, and some ship in 1-3 MONTHS... I would try to find that kit somewhere else but for being color matched and easy, I would probably just remove the bar on the original or put up with it if I could until it arrived. Not sure if you can buy the bezel now and a different mount so you're not waiting around.

They have the black and shale bezel for about $100/$110, and the bezel with mounting kit, harness, some connectors for about $150. ALL THAT OTHER STUFF besides the bezel, (besides maybe those $2 butt connectors) will come free with a new head unit if you buy it at crutchfield. You can also piece that other stuff for about $20 tops. I'm betting you could search and find a better deal. They have quite a few big name retailers.

Lol. If you look at the link, this is for a 00-02 and comes with a nash dash bezel, not just a radio dash kit.

I see, when I went to double din on my 00 the shop just made a cut on the existing bezel, when I did my 03 Silverado I didn't have to cut anything
if you don't want to cut it you can get used 03+ bezels (oem) off ebay for $45 shipped, some SEM paint to match if needed isn't much

The 99-02 is a factory 1.5din. The 03+ is a factory double din. The 03+ bezel doesn't line up right on the 99-02. It cuts off the letters for the AC because of the digital vs mechanical controls. Yes, it will WORK, but it doesn't look right (if that's something you are concerned about).
