Looking for shocks i have the Premium Smooth Ride: indicated by the RPO code ZW7. This suspension uses a conventional suspension in the front, but the rear uses a self-contained, self-leveling Nivomat shock in the rear. My question is does anyone know any parts numbers/brands of good replacement shocks.

I had have Bilstein 4600 in front and Arnott self leveling in rear. Its rides fantastic but that is subjective. More of a factory ride.

On the Premium Smooth Ride shocks if you replace them with conventionals, you'll need to change the springs, too. Vehicle fit guides for the Bilstein shocks should recommend the proper springs, but I think they're equivalent to the stiffer Z71 springs. If you change the shocks only, your truck will not handle properly and that may cause a safety issue.

And G65 if you have Nivomats. Why replace them with OE? Don't you like the ride and self-leveling feature that has last how long?

Swapped my Nivomats--ZW7--With reg shocks and kept the ZW7 springs--felt dangerous at normal highway speeds. Swayed side to side! Change the springs if you're going to conventional shocks.
