I was just checking/looking at the orientation of everything. Unfortunately it was among a bunch of engines/transmissions and right against a truck, so I really couldn't get a good sideways view. Looking at those pics the alt looks alot straighter then mine does.
You should at least pull yours off, take a look at the mounting to see if anything looks wrong, loose, worn, bent etc. It only takes a few minutes. It might turn up something.

Yep. That works fine for any years without the filters from the factory. Just have to cut the opening. I used a razor knife I think.
Bot sure what's better about that kit other than it costs more.
