Cruising down the road, check engine light comes on. Reader says P1133 & P0134. Go to parts store get a Bosch O2 sensor and change it out. Reset battery, and check it out, lights still on & reader says same thing. What and where else do I need to be checking?

Dumb questions to start.

Which o2 sensor did you change and which exact part # did you use?

Did you clear the code with the scanner after installing the new sensor?

the sensor you changed should be the drivers side before the cat and unless you erased the code then it may take a drive cycle or two for it go away on it's own.

Bank 1 sensor 1 - upstream, drivers side.
Bosch part number 15284.

I disconnected the battery to reset the computer after the installation

Disconnecting the battery won't clear the code. You need to clear it with the scanner or give it a bunch of drive cycles to go away.

Ok, well I'll drive a while and see if it disappears. I only have a reader and paying to get it cleared sucks.

If you know of a buddy that has one they can clear it. I had same issue with 02 sensors. I replaced with the Bosch ones as well.
I have friend who is a mechanic and told me to replace all 4 as the sensor downstream will vary and set a code. I had friend who had bad 02 upstream sensors both to be exact. He only could afford to replace upstream ones. I explained cel light might come back on. Within two weeks the downstream sensors went bad. I don't believe in throwing money at parts but I wanted to be done with that repair for a while...

proper auto maintenance can be costly, oem 02 sensor's are rated for 100k miles and should all be replaced at the same time, but as most of us know this usually doesn't happen and often they last much longer.
