What is the correct tire pressure?

A tire dealer once suggested I go to a vacant parking lot or quiet street with a piece of chalk, mark a front and rear tire tread with a couple of lines across the tread, then drive straight for a short distance. The chalk will show you if the inflation is too much (center wear) or too little (outside tread wear).

^ make sure tires are at operating temp for that ;)

i run on 22s & for daily driving, i usually run @ 32-33 cold. that puts me @ 35-37 w/ tires warmed up.

i also like the playing card vs chalk trick... but both will work well


over inflate slightly & drive until tires are warm. slip a playing card under tire to edge of 1st lug. then slowly deflate tire until card drags on removal (if you cant remove card, you deflated too much)
