ya I replaced the very front plastic one with a aluminum one and I have the aluminum one for the front diff/oil pan, figured it wouldn't hurt to have the transfer case one as well, I ordered it $54 with 3 bolts shipped. I might have to buy one more bolt or hit the junkyard for one I think the nbs bolts are the same size.

So the 4wd trucks have an aluminum splash shield???

Anybody got a part number for that?

No, its plastic, both me and doubie ordered an aluminum one from some ebay dude

usually they are plastic but there are aluminum oem ones apparently, I had mine by the rod louver guy in san diego
supposed to be a 3 piece kit # 23176882 but not many around

I remember looking at the ones the guy builds for our trucks... the problem is I didn't like the price.

The problem with the factory aluminum one is... I don't like the price any better than the other one.

I need a super special custom one anyway to clear my dual remote mount oil filters... guess I will have to make one some day.
