How can you get the curved piece off if the dashskin is glued to it? The one on my Silvy has to lift up slightly to remove it as you pull it forward. I’m talking the ****** piece over the top of the cluster.
if anything only the very lip edge may be attached, but once you have the screws out you just grab it squeeze it a little and then it slides out from the bottom, it doesn't appear that that cover would prevent you from doing that.

the ****** part does not come off, the inside of the ****** part comes off, there is 2 star bit screws on the inside top edge and then there is 2 7mm bolt's one on each side behind the vent trim, then it just pulls out, then there is a inner plastic trim that comes out and then the cluster comes out.
The one on my Silvy comes off before the cluster comes out, I mistakenly thought the SUV’s would be the same. Weird.

hmm, in that case maybe just don't put any glue on that one area? is your dash cracked?
It was. I couldn’t do the cover though. I tried the hot staples to melt the dash together at the cracks so they would supposedly be nearly invisible. There’s a guy on YouTube that makes it look easy. Mine looked ok. But when I removed the front piece by the windshield, it cracked too. So I hot stapled that. It didn’t look as good so I installed the dash and ordered the front piece. It was $300 itself. Then while waiting for it, the dash cracked again in a different place. The truck came from Cali and I assume it was in the sun all it’s life because the plastic was brittle as hell. I ended up replacing both pieces for about $700-800. I try not tot remember the exact price. I keep the truck under cover and it’s Oregon so hopefully it won’t crack again. I can sympathize with people for doing the less expensive thing. My Silvy is more of a show/ custom truck but also I tend to spend a lot of money on my trucks as you probably know so new parts was my choice as a solution to a problem none of us should have to deal with. This is either a poor design, bad plastic or probably both.

Enabled the Afterblow option on the HVAC module with the Tech2 on the 2012

Also used the Tech2 on the 2001, using the Service Programming mode to get info/version on the modules. There are about 6-7 of them. I'm installing TIS2000 software on an old Dell laptop with XP so I can hook it up and see what updates are available for the 2001. Maybe it'll help with me not able to access the HVAC module in that vehicle to run a actuator relearn.

if you program it be sure the battery is fully charged or even on a charger I read it can take 2hours for some programming, I don't know if that is true but better safe than sorry

It took me quite a while to see Afterblow in action, came across it accidentally only two or three times in the last two years. You can also set the air pressure and type of tires, like if you were to put Load Range D tires on, you can tell the computer that and how much air to run in them so that the warning comes on at the appropriate time for that kind of tire. Mine will light the dash if they get below 40 psi, not 20 like the original setting.

Next time, sit in the back seat while your wife is driving and use the Tech-2 to open the moonroof, move her seat and test the speakers! LOL
