Snapped a couple pics of the lines on the reverse camera today... it has the lines that curve when you turn the steering wheel which is pretty cool I think. I guess it uses the canbus lines for that as well to read from the steering wheel position sensor.

It also displays a car on the right side of the screen to show the output from the sensors in the bumper once it detects that you are close to something.

And shows which sensors are picking up an object...

I know all of this isn't new technology but they are new features that my Burb didn't have before and I thought I would post them here in case anyone was looking for a HU with some of these features.

I trimmed a little more just for good measure and this is the final result...

I wanted to leave the square hole up top in order to support the back of the HU... plus there is not much to be gained beyond this point without cutting metal.

Now I hurry up and wait for UPS...

These are the exact same steps I took to install my Kenwood DMX905S. The distance that the rear connections extend from the rear of the HU will require you to trim these inner dash supports. In doing so the unit will then mount flush allowing for the faceplate to go back on without any issues.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention you got to trim the metro piece heavily. *facepalm* my bad. Looks great though!!

Here’s mine for comparison between the two HU’s.

So I sold my old Rosen HU that was frozen up on the splash screen to someone online that repairs them for $90.

So after shipping it in a large flat rate box to Comifornia I cleared $70.

Not to bad considering it would have just found it's way into the trash eventually... $70 beats tossing it in the trash.

Once all the dust settled and I added up every last piece and part and screw and bolt and USB wire to swap to the new HU it cost a total of $636.35.

Once you subtract the $70 I cleared on the old Rosen HU I am in the new one $566.35

Then I had $300 in reward points built up on one of my CCs so that makes the final total on the cost of the new Kenwood HU $266.35.

$266.35 isn't bad for what I ended up with in my opinion.

Still liking those new HH wheels and that new HU looks great too. Always something cool coming from my twin long body, but much more modded.

Thanks... I am pretty happy with all the new stuff too.

I recently checked in to having the Burb professionally detailed and the wheels ceramic coated.... $$$.... would love to do it but it may be a little while before I get over the sticker shock... lol
