I've been contemplating using some weatherstripping to close the gaps around the headlights so today I gave it a shot. My trip to Home Depot resulted in 2 possible products that looked to be about the right size, both using 3M self adhesive. After getting home and messing around a bit, I decided on the rubber one. It states it's 5/16" thick. There were some other rubber ones that were 3/8" but not in black. I removed a headlight and cleaned it with denatured alcohol, and although I had only intended to apply it to the top and sides, I decided to do the entire perimeter. I did my best to follow the body lines as they move around the housing but it's not perfect. I didn't want to pull it off and reposition it so I might get another roll and remove the old/ apply new. It's not bad though, looks way better. I put the seam at the bottom where it won't be noticed. Before and after pics are in the next post.

@Rocket Man not a bad idea! I like it.

As far as the retro goes. I like my Morimoto bulbs but I'd try the hilux ballast they are 45w a d seem to be a better performer than the Morimoto 35w. Dont do the 55w it'll burn the bowls

I ordered the brackets from the GMFS forum member not just to save a few bucks but more to buy from a small private guy. I also just ordered Morimoto mini H1 projectors, the Hylux 45 watt ballasts, Morimoto 5500k bulbs and Morimoto bulb holders from Lightwerkz because they gave me a better price, free shipping plus 15% off as a new customer. Total was about $275 for everything. I guess I’m in lol.

Why not the mini d2s? Then you can use better quality bulbs. I put the mini d2s in my Yukon. ad9d0f8930ea4c93d7130585f20ec4b7.jpg34ba4a30ab9e6f61056fede94fb2e58e.jpg5432c969c1b2b0b0f875c61d72475998.jpg

Because the adapter plates available are for mini H1’s. They’re for the OEM Denali headlights and don’t require baking open the headlights, just bolt them on in place of the existing projectors. I sent a pic of the back of the Anzo’s to a guy who sells the brackets and he says they will work, they use the same projectors as the Denali’s.
