That looks violent. What were you doing when it happened?

trying to figure out what was wrong with it pretty much sums it up.
had ran it up to the top of 2nd, with the 4l80 is like 90mph...there was parts and pieces tumbling down the road next to me, junk just shut off left about 300' oil streak down the road

belt stayed on tho!

Iron block 6.0 with a 3.90 crankshaft.

Hey Randy, what's the postmortem? Did the valvetrain let loose and kiss the pistons start the chain of events? If so, was it a rocker, valve spring, pushrod?

its junk lol
was back cylinders 7/8, guessing the hurt one from before probably had some imperfection in the sleeve. it had been making some noise sounding off for past few weeks. but so much changes its hard to know what it "should" sound like. there was a ton of water/e85 in the charge pipes when i took them off (left over from when it locked up?), with the pan split it had been leaking what i thought was water (not running dexcool) for a few days out of the oil pan, but seems to be a mix of water/ethanol. i dont think the timing chain broke but there are atleast 2 intake valves that are bent or have some debris holding them out. was a good bit of oil sitting on the back of the intake valve maybe bad seal or cracked in head somewhere. broke the starer. flexplate took a pretty bad hit, may not be balanced will have to get a new one. cam prob trashed not likely ill go back with vvt anyway, lifters prob not worth saving
not a whole lot to salvage off of it...i just pulled a few of the sensors off of it, heads are soso if no cracks they may be able to be cleaned up - looked like the far back ear for the head bolt is stressed though

i know what id like to do:flamingdevil: but its a little irresponsible. hoping something falls in my lap in the next week or two, really no matter what it is to make it move under its own power would be nice. if i have to get a short block built itll be overkill only cause i dont feel like swapping junkyard engines out every 6 months
