I can’t drive 60. It’s something about people passing me.

Mine averages about 18 mpg, mixed driving, since new (7800 miles). Best I've gotten was 22 on a road trip but was rarely under 80

You don't even have 500 miles on the engine and you're freaking out about the mpg?

I get 8-9mpg with a 6.0 so I would say you're lucKy to get anything close to that with a 6.2.
it's quite laughable if they claim anything above 13mpg with the 6.x L engine..
Unless you got a NNBS hybrid then yeah claiming 25mpg with the 6,0L is reasonable I literally get 2.8x+ mpg with the hybrid module.
despite having a 11yo old buttery.

552 mile trip all highway at 70-85 mph 26.3 for the trip, but down to 10.6 city, got to keep that pedal off the floor

Well perhaps the laws of physics cease to exist in your SUV! Was this magic gas? at those speeds you are in v8 mode
No way your getting 26mpg.... 12-13 at the most

i was looking on fuelly some one with a 2019 6.2L averaged 14mpg between two of them for the tahoe and 16-17 on the yukon... with the 10 speed transmission..

i'm sure you meant 26km per gallon =16.3 mpg

I believe him that he got that mpg. If it was mostly flat and smooth driving, he could definitely hit that mpg, especially if he reset the mpg counter after he reached those speeds. And mine switches to V4 at those speeds too, still according to conditions.

Do you have a 2015+ 6.2?

The difference between the city and highway is too big of a gap.. of what he claims.. other wise his city mpg would be at 22MPG..

his combined is probably actually around 15-17mpg

so unless GM significantly improved the AFM or left the v4 mode running extended periods it wont happen... or a manual button for AFM..

in my grandpa's 06 silverado LT 5.3L it was barely getting 10mpg (actual Los Angeles Metro area)...in the city. my old impala v6 3.8l could barely pull 13 in the city (actual Los Angeles Metro area)...

the other reason is it's only 0.34cd on the 2015+

(were comparing with a 0.34cd nnbs hybrid 6.0L VVT engine)(not the 0.367cd nnbs)

it keeps things fair

well, blowers do make the engine more efficient.

im guessing he may have 3.08 gears as well.

his & my AFM are disabled

i dont have a 6.2, but i have a '15 supercharged 5.3 w/ 3.42s ft &rr.
if i can keep my foot out if it, i have seen 22+ mpg on long highway trips btwn 65-70mph.
typical daily avg, mostly city w/ some highway 12.5 - 17.8
hand calculated, as i dont trust the gauge display. although it can be pretty close at times.

Yes hope the moderator is out of town this week cause I’m reposting . I had to repost not enough owners posted before I got desperate and anxious . I wanna know what is your city MPGs. I’m asking cause mine is not getting any better and im anxious dealer says wait till it broken in 3500 miles. IM ABOUT TO BREAK IT IN WITH A SLEDGE HAMMER AND HIT IT TILL I loose all frustration . I had a lemon with my Ford F-250 a while back leaked oil brand new . Now this one has low mpgs 8 Or 9 driving it slow . So understand I Just wanna know if anyone been in my shoes with new Tahoe or Denali .And has had mpg like this and then it improved. The dealer says just wait till it breaks in .And no I havnt had time to go on long trip . I do all is city driving. But not heavy traffic . I doubt it that there can be something wrong with the fuel system dealer checked it out no errors or codes Please contribute I’m beat up over this any idea all your thoughts are welcome
