I have been lucky enough to get to know Pete @Sevenevez through some other ventures, and he never fails to impress. When I found out he was selling the Denali, I knew I wouldn't ever forgive myself if I didn't at least try. I'm calling it my mid life crisis. Lol.

First and foremost, I want to thank Pete for keeping it in the TYF family, and allowing me to be the one to carry the torch with a project that has captivated us all. It took a bit of trust on both ends to make it happen the way it did, and we both white-knuckled it a couple times along the way. He could have easily taken a pile of cash from somebody that answered his CL ad and called it a day, but he didn't.

It's not my intent to get all sappy, but we've all been in the position of selling a vehicle we've loved or buying a vehicle we've coveted. There's something special about both sides, and it's safe to say that Pete and I have made the best of them both. We even put the HU's BT to the test in a long phone call while I was out cruising the other night! Memories made and a new friendship growing.

So without further ado...

Here she is being delivered. Pretty big deal on my little podunk street. One of my neighbors (who has a pretty slick rover) was on a walk with his wife and said "looks like somebody got a new toy!" Got a thumbs up and tip of the cap from him when I rolled it past the next day....

She was, in Pete's words "the dirtiest she's ever been." I don't doubt it. 2000 miles and a week on the road makes for a mess, lemme tell you...

I kicked the Ferd outta the garage, but I couldn't even put her away like that, so I spent the evening washing her and subsequently bandaging my knuckles from the lug spikes....errr, nuts.

I have since built a little wish list and some "to do" items to keep the ball rolling on this awesome build (with Pete's approval, of course).

Obviously, I will keep y'all apprised to any changes /progress. This is not a "normal" vehicle where I live, and will easily be a head turner at some local cruise nights, etc. Hopefully, I can take it to the next level. It may take some time, but I have no intention of doing anything other than "babying" and "building" this truck for the foreseeable future.

I will never be Pete with a camera (or have those Yuma sunsets ), but I'll give it some effort. Here she is tonight, enjoying a beautiful evening rolling around town....

I hope this truck can continue to be a symbol of what this forum is. Solid personnel with helpful input for everyone that has a desire to learn, fix, drive, and most of all, enjoy these awesome trucks! May the journey continue...
