Let me see if others have this same problem.

Rumble Strips, those rigid lines of maybe 5 small bumps in the road meant to slow you down or keep you aware that there’s a school around (at least by me)

2002 - I can cruise over those and only hear that I am driving over them.

2016 - I feel those bumps into my steering wheel, seat, and the loudness. The one thing that seems crazy is the steering wheel vibrates out of control and you can visually see it move like.

Normal?

I know this is the 2015+ section, but I had a similar issue with my 09. Granted it only has the Z55 suspension and not MRC. When my front struts were shot, the computer maxed out the electronic valving and when I went over rumble strips, the steering wheel shook badly, as well as the entire dash. I replaced with OEM parts and now it doesn't shake anymore. I wonder if your front struts are shot?

One thing to note is the 2002 has a normal mechanical steering box. I’m not sure if the 2016 has drive by wire steering but my daughters 2016 Cruze did. The steering wheel has a computer mounted at the column and that computer controls the steering box with no mechanical connection. I tried to find out if the SUV’s have dbw steering but can’t find the info.

while selectable MRC is in “touring”/normal mode. However, once you select MRC to be “sport”, it drives like a sports car

Only the Escalade has this setting. The rest of the MRC’s are set to stiff.

Ive driven many sports cars and none of them feel like the MRC with 22’s IMO.

The cargo space behind the 3rd row is huge in the GM LWB trucks, and is significantly smaller in the Ford products.

It is odd how the room behind the 3rd row is so much smaller in the expedition. The ford does however have higher cargo height/opening which is nice. My 2010 could take anything but the fold flats in my 2016 really limit the cargo height.

I’m going to take a video and post it. To me, I just assume this is normal but have no clue.

I've had a explorer, expedition, and grand Cherokee in the last few years. The Tahoe is my favorite by far! Ford has gone to crap in my opinion in the last 5 years or so. No QC what so ever in their products. Loved the grand Cherokee SRT I had but was just not roomy enough for me.

IMHO the NBS Denali w/ 17’s were the Caddie type ride for their day. The sidewall of larger aspect tires contributed to the luxo ride allowing the suspension to do less work.

If you look at the NBS sister trucks, their platforms were the standard for work vehicles in some form or another. The Chevy long bed with a head ache rack or service bin configuration was the no frills purchase option for commercial or sub contractor.

The wake up call occurred when Merc brought their Eurospec work vans to the mainstream. GM is doing catch up w/ the dominant, established Euro & Asian Eurovans. GM now dominates the current niche they occupy, but they’re not embracing clean diesel, hybrid or electric. When the next $6 a gal event occurs, they’ll be dumbstruck on what to sell to keep the lights on.

The truck & suv biz is a dicey buss to be in right now. I can’t imagine why they failed on a clean TDI or hybrid full size NNBS. Orders would be stacked stupid silly and the next golden age would bloom. Their NNBS focused advertising on what you’ll be if you buy they’re product. The NBS focused on brand, reliability and a new pinnacle, the EXT & Escalade. Put the team back in play that imagined 4 wheel steer trucks, hybrids and the pride of their workforce that sold steak, not the sizzle.

Ford has signed on to the stupid Turbo V6. Nuff said.
