Is there any way to keep the fogs on when the low beams turn on. My BMW's have always had this option. When auto headlights turn on and I turn on the fog lights, they wont come on again unless I press the fog light button again. Is there a mod to keep them on with the headlights?

Not aware of one. Think your stuck with turning them on each ignition cycle.

you can do it a couple different ways, by running wires and a relay from the headlight to the fog lights or run wires & relay and install a toggle switch under the dash to turn them on, there is no factory method or "trick" to do it, on some previous models some company's made a board to install in the fuse box,(others used a resistor) there is probably one for the late model trucks out there on the intewebz somewhere.

@cmatt has a cable extension for late models to make led strip drl. Then there is a way to then make the fogs to light with drl, via a jumper. And still retain the auto high function if equipped.

doubeleive's method with relays is the safest method of doing this. run a relay so its triggered when the headlights come on and run the foglight power through the other side tied to power with a fuse. that way your not drawing extra power through a circuit that doesn't support the extra power draw.

Seems as if the low beam halogens were replaced with LEDS the draw would be less and adding fog LEDs would not be an issue.

I used the gen5diy harness to add fogs to my non-lux LT. It links to the marker light to switch on the fogs so they are always lit when lights are on (even high beams so you have all 6 on). They do light during remote start, and leds didnt work right (stayed on when engine turned off) so there is some down side, but it has been very nice. I used some aftermarket housings that came with H8 bulbs. H8 are 35w, H11 55w, and H9 are 65w; all 3 will fit. I went with H11. Any are better than the OEM 20-26w...
