Cool. All three of us have carbon gray (aka dark spiral gray if you go shopping for some). Color-sanding and buffing with 3M Perfect-it system can make even a fair paint job look pretty professional.

VRT from Adam's Polishes works great on that plastic trim, too. Lasts for weeks. Even renews those ugly plastic inner fenders.

If I decide to paint myself, is it difficult to remove the roof rails?
I’ve already removed the cross members.

(Running Boards)....... What worries me is making them slippery......

But I do like "Meguiar's Natural Shine" protectant. Non-greasy & UV blocking. It's not as glossy.
I use it on my tires. ( You might try to apply it with an aggressive "dish soap scrub sponge" to maybe cut some of the oxidation)
