Installing sub with stock Bose system

Got any specs (size, dept and such) on the stock sub? I need a new one as well, and I'm not sure what will fit in the original location.

If it were me, I would just use those. Much simpler.

the stock sub is a 6", no? Maybe a 5" (doubt it, but this is Bose, King of the Odd).
If you're looking for just enough bass to fill in what the door speaks can't do, I think JL makes a 6" sub. I don't know how low it goes or how hard it hits, but I would think that'd be the easiest sub to retrofit into the Bose box.
Note to clarify - I'm talking about the center console one in the newer hoes, not the cargo area one.

Cool. I have a non-Bose equipped one though. But the side console looks the same as posted above, with the Sub and all.

So after reading these comments, am I understanding correctly, that there is no place in my Bose system to install a LOC without losing bass as I increase the volume unless I Replace the HU?

2006 Yukon XL Bose set up and I just want add another sub in stock hole in back that's now just a cover . There has to be a easy way to do it . Can't amp be under seat and run 12v to it and run just speaker wire to the back . Amps are pretty small now a days .

I’m planning on doing this as well. Unfortunately, not much time lately to get it done, but sometime down the road. I’ve got the swb Yukon, so was able to get a stock unit from an ‘02 Yukon for the rear location. You’ll have more room (and there are more stock boxes out there, if that’s what you want)
